Hi all

Just joined. My wife and I have a farm near Rylstone, NSW Australia. It's 100 acres and we run mainly alpacas and occasionally some agisted cattle. We don't have a tractor yet so we still move stuff around in barrows and the back of the car, borrow the neighbours old truck and get the neighbours to do any slashing for us. This forum will be good to chat with others about tractors and to help us with suggestions for when we do buy one - probably next year.
Anyways hi to all.

I notice an earlier user "cwatts" from Piambong, near Mudgee just joined. I'm an hour south of Mudgee.

Hi all

Thanks for the hellos. Today my wife and I visited the Small Farms Expo 2011 at Hawkesbury Showground. We looked at tractors, alpacas, tractors, cattle, tractors, goats, tractors, trailers, food and tractors - well that's what my wife says. It goes for two days and has hundreds of exhibitors and lots to look at and buy, all to do with small acreage farming but still has some of the bigger stuff on display.

I sat in a few tractors, a Kubota, Iseki, Lamborghini R3 Evo (85 HP), Antonio Carrera (oscillating axle and reversible cab) and there were also Mahindras, Massey Ferg, and several Chinese tractor brands.
Chatted with dealers and got some prices on cab tractors.
