Hi

I’m hoping someone can help me out with my first tractor down here in New Zealand :).

I have a Ford 1900 and and I’d like to attach a single cylinder hydraulic Forklift to the the three point hitch but I’m struggling to find out how to do this.

I have the Power Beyond Plate on the right of the tractor (4 bolts ) and I have two levers for the hydraulics, one I think is a draft control. The tractor doesn’t have a FEL.

I’m finding new ways to kill my self each day by moving heavy machinery around and being able to use the forklift would be awesome :).

I have another Ford 1900 that has 4wd that I bought for parts and doesn’t run and an Iseki that has no clutch but has a mower on the back that I use and just start it in gear :). I’m of the ‘make do and mend’ generation but this hydraulic puzzle has me beat I’m afraid.

Any help or advice would be very welcome and greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Jonathan

What you have pictured is not a power beyond plate. I believe that's the system relief valve. To add hydraulics to supply your forklift cylinder you will need another valve. Any single spool valve with an internal relief valve will do. Then you need to interrupt the oil supply from the pump to the rear lift, route the flow through this "new" valve and back into the existing port on the lift housing. There are a few different ways to do that, but all will require you to "get creative" in one form or another. If you're up for that we can go into more detail.

I’m up for the challenge and would love to learn more. I see now that a power beyond plate would sit on or replace the plate I showed. I had seen someone on another forum who was making adapter plates that replaced the stock plate allowing for remote hydraulics from here but he’s not contactable any more.

i‘ve found the following valve and lever on Facebook marketplace locally and wondered if it could work?

Thanks

@Steve Urquell has done something like this with a Cub Cadet. So, I believe you could do this with the Ford 1900.

Here is the Ford 1900 with the Power Beyond.

ASAP sells a valve kit . . .

Do keep us posted on your progress. My neighbor has a Ford 1500 and a smaller forklift setup he can add.

I was only sharing that in a half hearted, last resort kind of way as I saw that it was available on fb.

I’d much rather find a tractor driven solution.

Any help would be appreciated. I’ve attached the adapter that I mentioned had been machined.
