Working classic

  • This tractor is the subject of a love/hate relationship. I have owned the machine since 1996. Considering its age I suppose the constant stream of mechanical issues is to be expected. Situation is aggravated by owners general lack of mechanical dexterity and a glaring absence of the correct tool for any given task. That said, the machine starts reliably and runs well in cool weather (40 degrees or lower). If air temperatures exceed 60 degrees I apparently get a fuel vapor lock after 2 -21/2 hours of operation event though engine temperature stays in the green. Pain in the ....
