Lowell worked very hard for his previous owner. He made roads, loaded logs into a sawmill and saw a few breakdowns on the front end.
I picked him up after the previous owner passed from a heart attack trying to get his stuff away from the Roaring Lion fire.
The name is in honor of my wife\'s grandpa Lowell. He was a great guy who loved to tinker with IH tractors. Before he passed he was working on an M. My father in law kept that M for a few years after his dad passed, but finally had to sell it to make room in the shed . Lowell was the kind of guy who loved to talk to people and was very handy in the shop. When we found this tractor it just seemed kinda natural: An IH tractor that had definitely seen it\'s share of hard work, just like his namesake.
Serial number is 102592, making him a \'74 model (same as me!).
