as moments later Spike was seen carting them off to Disney Land

I've just been reading thru some of the stuff in this off-topic section. Glad to see some of the rest of you showing up over here. I'll miss Gardenweb, but I think I'm going to like this site as well or better.

I ended up having a pretty long exchange of emails with Spike; he insisted that I was deceitful and duplicitious. I wasn't going to apologize for something I am not, so I guess I'm banned for life now. I don't feel like fooling with the IP spoofing, etc. in order to get back in, although I guess it would be a little fun to get by Spike.

I know he has the right to boot people, but he seems pretty sensitive. My "sin" was that he thought I laughed at him. I hadn't, but I guess it looked like it. I tried to explain--didn't help. He was also upset because it took me so long to reply--when I explained that it was because my GW emails went to my work address and therefore I didn't see his note to me until Monday morning, he basically told me he didn't believe it.

What a guy.

Sorry for a long post.

When I saw your "hehehe", under Duc's post, I thought you were laughing because you thought Duc just threw himself to the lions. I don't see how it could be taken any other way. This site is actually better for many reasons, like posting pictures, and seperate places for different topics, and the strange thing is everyone gets along better here. The reason that place seems busier is because everything is on one page. There is a lot going on here. Just keep posting, doesn't really matter what it's about just put it in the right place, and if it lands in the wrong place that's ok too, someone may move but you surely won't be admonished! My guess would be spike doesn't have control of much in life besides GW, let him enjoy himself!

Well, my post was definitely dumb. I'd never met Spike before and really didn't know much about him. In retrospect I'm sure it could have looked like I was mocking him. Oh well, life is a lot bigger than Garden Web.

Does Spike own GW, or is there someone over his head?
