whats your home page for internet explorer (or Netscape)? Mine is yahoo finance...

once i go through all of my stock losses :furious:
i usually pop over to this site; tractor forum..
i have the 'who's on line' as a favorite... makes it quicker to get to the new posts or to see what is being checked out......

besides this and Yahoo, i usually peruse drudge.com and the garden web from time to time.... drudge is great because it has links to tons of papers & news sites..

id have to say, the TF is the site i go to most frequently...

I use 'mybestfriends' site for dog info.. its ok but a little kooky...

ill also go to tractorbynet and countrybynet from time to time...

when shopping or looking for something i start with yahoo.

I know google is most popular, but ive been using yahoo for years.. (i think about 7 now) so i am used to it..

What other sites?

cigargold.com for cigars.. (formerly netcigar)

porn: Thehun.net or wildcherries.com but to be honest.. i dont even bother going to them very often.. after a while.. they all look the same...

when hockey season starts ill hit the boston globe site to read about how the bruins are losing...

computer related stuff: tigerdirect.com

cheap tool type stuff; northern tool.com

other junk to buy amazon is my favorite.. its pretty easy and i like the way it stores all the ship to address'...

So what are your favorite or most used web sites??

I still think www.lycos.com has the best homepage. You can really set up a lot of things there. I hit most the tractor sites. I look at E-bay a lot and for alternative health it's hard to beat www.curezone.com
Amazon.com is nice along with www.tigerdirect.com and www.newegg.com which is hard to beat for computer stuff. wildcrazy.com was a good site to get crazy pictures from ,but it has turned into a pay site. I use google and yahoo and www.dogpile.com for my search engines

I hate opening the browser want to go somewhere quickly and having to deal with it opening something else. I have some shortcuts on my desktop for sites I frequent regularly. Not many, just basics, nothing exciting.

I have a Netscape, Apple sponsored news page for my homepage. It doesn't update very fast, so I might look for another news page.

I use the Google window that is built into my browser.

I have the tractor sites that s_j mentioned with TF being the most used, and at the top of the list.

I have my financial links in one folder so I can see what bone headed trading I have done lately.

I also have Amazon and ebay. 810WHB (Kansas City sports) so I can keep up with Pro and collegiate disappointments.

I have several Mac sites I look at as well as a good PC site called Anandtech that I find interesting and that some of you guys might know about, or might want to check out.

Also I like two great references sites AMG All Music, and AMG All Movie for music and movie reference.

I just use my ISPs homepage which is SBC/Yahoo. I seldom give it time to load before heading off on my nightly route. As I spend the most time here it is the last stop on the route or I don't get through all of them. I have this thing about having to read every new post. Afraid I might overlook something. It starts with email of course. Then

Gibson Research news groups

alt.trucks.chevy
alt.oldsmobile
alt.autos.gm
alt.autos.4x4.chevy-trucks

After the news groups it's off to check my two cousins political pages

http://morris.ath.cx:10000/index.php
http://samizdat.ath.cx:10000/?q=

Then to another one of my hobbies. http://www.weathermatrix.net/phpBB2/index.php

And finally here. I still check out garden web occasionally and like to look over the old engine photos posted on the
Smokestak Forum

So many places to see and so little time. :)

Well I am on AOL and it always opens up to there welcome pages, but whn I hit the web it is normaly TF first. There is also a Ford truck site I go to once in a wile. Still hit up TBN once in a wile, not much any more. Had no problems there, and met some nice people, but TF is way better. When I am into "car mode" I spend a LOT of time at Vintage Mustang.com. REAL good fourm for any mustang fans. the best.

My home page is Yahoo, but I have it customized for stuff I want to see. I read the news at CNN, BBC, and a couple of Filipino sites, plus the Moscow Times to see their take on stuff (it can be very entertaining)

Tractors, I come here, www.weekendfreedommachines.org and www.ssbtractor.com and a few others.

What little on line shopping I do is at L.L. Bean, Cabelas, Sierra trading post.

The rest of the time, I just browse for tractor shows, Ebay, and other odd bits of info.

Ebay motors sometimes has used Rolls Royce sedans for under $30,000. So would you want a new Pontiac/Mercury/Cadilac for that price range, or could you live with an excellently maintained Rolls with 80,000 miles on it? I'd love to have a Rolls or Bently, but I'd be afraid to park it anywhere I normally go. I'd need an armed guard.

TF of course is my favorite, One of the first places I check. :D :D Hey Andy a good Plug?
Then to Nascar.com for the what the racing community is doing.

Then on to allpar.com to see what the Mopar doys are doing then to Komotv.com for the local news in the Seattle area (easiest to read and understand quickly and isn't load with a lot of graphics.

Then to Yahoo for more crusing.  :pencil sm

I also check the Moscow Times http://www.moscowtimes.ru/indexes/01.html

And the BBC News http://news.bbc.co.uk/

Before I had a computer I would listen to the BBC and CBC (Radio Canada) on shortwave along with English broadcasts from other international stations. It's interesting to hear the different views from outside the borders.

Frugalmachinist.com ......... of course...........you mean there is another webpage out there I could use.........I mainly open it to my website just to see how many its I got on it. Then I hit the various forums, I have listed in my favorites in the order in which I prefer to read them according to interests........during the time I am reading in forums, my USENET newsreader is downloading the groups I read there, as well as my maial program is downloading my emails, so I just bounce back and forth between USENET news groups, forums and emails. I rarely cruise or surf the internet unless its something specific I am looking for.
