I know we are all here becouse we are into tractors, but what else are we into? I know I have more hobbies then I have time, and I am sure there are more like me out there.

Here is my list.....

Trains. All of them. Big, small, real, toy. I am also in to reacearching old railroads.

Boat building. One thing I wish I had more time to do. Nothing like being in a wooden boat, that you made yourself

Motorcycles. Have not ridden for about 5 years, but I realy enjoy it, and I still have my bikes.

Cars. One of my all time favs. Been into cars sence about 5. I have way to many projects now, but the big ones are a 70 Mustang, and my baby, a 72 LTD convertible.

Well, there are more, but they are not popping into my head at this time. So jump in! What do you like doing?

Oh, I do have a bunch of OLD N and H scale trains from my grandfather. I built a nice track on 4 X 4 sheet of plywood to get my kids into trains. Since I have moved, I haven't put it back up.

I have the 1976 Spirt of America (think that is what it is called) set, several PA passenger cars with the electric hookups on the top. Several odds and end box cars, fuel, coal, etc.

Does "used to be" my hobby count? Used to refurbish antique cars, hunt, fly fish, 1 1/2 acre garden, collect coins, and had 20 hives of honey bees. Now I just tinker with Cubs, have a garden just a little bit larger than my tractor, and sit here trying to figure out this contraption I'm writing on where you can see it. I do have a 78 Buick Park Avenue that I enjoy, but getting ready to ditch that too.

Hi
I am into boating, Crusing in our 67 GTO and messing with my
1937 Indian Junior Scout and my 1946 Chief. I used to be into Cushman scooters but got rid of them to make room for the Indians. Before that I was into old farm engines but sold them to make room for the Cushmans.

To the coin collectors.....If anybody has and knowledge of Canadian collector coins I have some I need to know the value of. If can send JPGs for you to look at. Email me direct [email protected]

I'm into HO scale trains as well. Haven't had room to run them in years but I've got quite a bit of rolling stock and engines. I've got my first set, got it for my sixth or seventh birthday. An 0-4-0 CP loco with 4 cars and a caboose. I also have the "confederation flyer". I got it when I was about 8-9 for christmas. It has a car for each Canadian province with the coat of arms and the date it joined confederation in Canada. Big collectors item now, but NOT for sale.
I'm still in the process of building a house. We've been living in it since '99, but it's SOOO not finished yet. Ever try to run a cutoff saw with 3 year olds supposed to be asleep down stairs?
I'm into cars too, don't have any just a beat up ol' van, but I would love to have a ZR1 Vette. I like the El Camino's too. I'd love to get a hold of an 80-84 an customize it; stroked 350, fibreglass tilt front, custom paint, you know, the whole 9 yards. Wouldn't have a licence for long, but it would be fun while it lasted!!

hobbies

Boy do I have Hobbies;
I can not stay away from internal combustion engines ,whatever fuel they run on.My tractor collection grows every year. I love trucks, boats, motorcycles and crawlers.
I also have a wood habit,to the point of owning a portable sawmill.Complete cabinet shop with all the bells and whistles, saws of all kinds,20" planer, shaper, joiner, bisquet joiners, bed lathe, plate tuning lathe, dust collection system(not set up yet) and any kind of tool that plugs in on runs on batteries.
Arborist tools, chain saws, climbing spikes, etc. I run a site prep business just so I can get paid to play with all my toys:D
Good fortune is mine, I own two farms and my 11 acre homestead. Both farms were abandoned years ago so I have been gradually putting acreage back into production. My wife has a green thumb and my two sons also love growing things.Between the three of them,we have great gardens. Of course I get to do the prep work with my machines. We have grandchildren ,horses and have raised over the years all manner of livestock.
Did I mention I love hunting? I bow hunt whitetail on horseback,on the ground and from the trees. After Bow season I shotgun hunt(not on Horseback)also muzzleload.I have beaglesand a yellow lab.
I am quite mad at my wife right now she made me give up bowling.

Perhaps a little late coming into this thread, but I guess its better late than never.
I am into making any and everything out of metal, so you can say I am into metal working, and machine tools. I like rasing goats as well as chickens and peafowl and guinea fowl and geese. Like firearms, although I do not hunt anymore, love archery, but a bad left arm prevent me from shooting my bow to any degree anymore, and I guess my all time favorite is still scrounging stuff and in general just accumulating piles of treasures (no collecting of fire extinguishers though, or any other pressureized containers for that matter).

Also dabble with bank notes and coins and stamps, and have to get into the Beanie Babie arena as well so I know what is a deal on them as thats the wifes bag.......pityfull, a full grown man plaaying with beanie babies

Used to fool with street rods etc, but nowadays I am just gratefull I have vehicles that crank when you turn the key, and gas is already too high to be burning in a hotrod just so I can go get a speeding ticket.

Some hobbies: working outside on land, buildings, workshop. Radio control cars (RC10s - I got 6 of em --- original gold chassis to late RC10-B3/B4s & tons of RC car professional equipment - motors/chargers/build sets/etc.) Radio control planes (only have 3 left --- PT40 Trainer, B-25 huge Royal kit bomber and working on new P-38 kit this winter) Used to deal with electric trains, but not anymore. Just got into small antique engines --- fun stuff --- especially if I can get it working. ;)

Anything else? Some fishing, time with the family of course. (my wife and 2 kids --- time behind the 8N is really fun --- and of course my GT5000 ------- volunteering with local church and HFH.

Well, life is good & I am truly thankful that I can afford any of this. ;)

AND OF COURSE, TRACTORFORUM.COM administration which has taken up ALOT of my "hobby time" -- :D
