someone posted a link to i think whois.com or .net that shows who a specific site is registered to...

i tried whois.net and .com and neither works... - tells me ive reached my limit.. is there another one out there that does this??

Most any site that sells domains has a free lookup service.
www.godaddy.com
www.reserveme.com

etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc.

You can type in IP's or domain names. It should show you their complete record.

http://ws.arin.net/cgi-bin/whois.pl

click on the IP links next to the one you are looking at for record information.

This one is more for the international ones.

http://www.ripe.net/perl/whois

You can type in the main name such as "microsoft" and it should show you EVERYTHING.
