I tend to listen to a lot of my music on my computer these days. I have an aged, decent stereo that I plan to wire or go wireless too in the future from my machine someday.

I like to random play with my 7 gigs or so of music. Lately though I have rediscovered The Ozark Mountain Daredevils, who I think are a great and maybe underrated band. What have you all been listening to lately?

bigallis,

I also had access to a college radio station that had a weekend bluegrass show. You hear a lot of stuff you normally wouldn't get on the bigger stations

I'm an old hard rocker and I still listen to that some. What is weird is that I'm 49 years old and still listening to that music and my kids are 24 and 20 and mostly listen to country. I also like the old country. I keep The Essential George Jones CD with me. Some Hank Williams SR. also.
I work nights so I can't listen to The Bob and Tom show when it's on in the mornings. I download the shows to my mp3 player and listen to them when I can. Hutch

I'm 49 also and i mostly listen to the the Classic Rock and oldies stations. I was also raised on Merle Haggard, Buck Owens, Johnny Cash, Hank Williams, etc, and also like a lot of bluegrass too. Ain't to much country i like today, but i love that southen rock like Allman Brothers,Charlie Daniels ,Marshall Tucker ,Skynyrd, Elvin Bishop, Wet Willie. I also have been listening lately to a group from the ninetys that remind me of the old southern/country rock called Pirates of the Mississippi. Anybody of heard of them? Their big hit was Feed Jake, but they had much better material on their albums.

I like the "old" country, too, as well as the Southern rock of the 70's and 80's.

Here's some a list of the last song's played on my computer. I'm too tired to figure out how to convert it to text, so I just did a screen shot:

I can listen to pretty much anything but rap. My all time favorite bands would have to be Rush, Yes, and Bad Company. I listen to oldies, but 50's mostly (Buddy Holly, Booker T and the MG's, Tommy Rowe, The Diamonds, Duane Eddy, The Platters, etc.).

Heres a few more from wild to mild...
Ozzy/Black Sabbath
Iron Maiden
Metallica
Queensryche
XYZ
White Stripes
Concrete Blonde
Train
CCR
Journey
Bachman Turner Overdrive
Toad The Wet Sprocket
Eric Clapton
Enigma
The Mavericks
Hank Jr
Anything piano related

I rarely listen to tunes on the computer, but cannot drive a 1/4 mile without a stereo. If im in the garage, the stereo is cranked, and the TV is usually on with the volume down, on Fox news. I gotta keep up with current events somehow!

I listen to mostly the newer "alternive" stuff. But a lot depends on my mood. Yesterday I was stuck in the car a lot[had to go to NJ] and I had in Alanis Morraset, James Tayler, Porno for Pyros, Jimmy buffett, The Cure, and Blind melon in the CD.

high tech

I am also a Sirius Radio Junkie. I have the boom box that I play at work or outside, it is on my computer, and I use it in my trucks. The reception is remarkable, and the variety is great, 68 music channels, news, left wing, right wing, and everything in between talk, the complete NFL and NHL schedule. I have hardly used my MP3 hard drive since I got it. Mostly I listen to blues, bluegrass, or alternative rock.

I listen to AM and FM talk radio, I get a twitch and go for some AC/DC, Sheryl Crow, Chris Isaak, but I listen to a LOT of Bluegrass. Ricky Scaggs being one of my favorite all time gospel musicn Bluegrass singer/players. I gotta a soft spot for the mandolin.
