Welcome everyone to the Hobby Shop forum. So what are you all into other than tractors? RC stuff? Woodworking? Railroads? Boats? Heck if you are into quilting, or knitting, jump on in and talk about it.

Me? Well, cars are a big thing for me, and have pretty much talked about that in other forums, but I have a ton of other intrests also. My biggest, lifelong hobby is Railroads. My Dad got me started pretty early, and we always had tons of train stuff around the house. Boating is something I also spend a lot of time with. Started out about 15 years ago with my first boat, and has kept going sense. I am lucky to have a wife that is into it as much[sometimes more] then me. We also have some close friends that join us all the time, and just have a blast. Now boating, and one of my other hobbies,woodworking, kinda joined forces about 10 years ago, when I discovered a mag called Woodenboat. Sense that time I have enjoyed building my first boat, and have spent a lot of time planing for the next. Those are my biggies, but I am into a lot of smaller things also. Pretty much anything machanial I am into, and if it needs work, all the better

In no particular order:

Mountain Biking
Antique Radios
Macintosh Computers
Digital Video / Digital Photography
Lawn and Garden

I used to collect and restore antique radios. Mainly the large floor standing tube consoles. Haven't acquired any for quite some times to do to space limitations. But still have an interest in it.

I have a Kona mountain bike. The frame is 7005 tig welded aluminum. I primarily ride paved trails (Old converted railroad paths) for fitness, as I have had some back problems in the past few years. Hope to start riding more this year. I used my FEL and a chainsaw to make some trails on my acreage where I intend to build a house. Hope to get my kids more involved in off road biking.

I used to have a nice garden at a previous residence. Current property is shaded and sloped, so I've been limited to flowers and ground covers. Still have my Craftsman 6 hp front tine tiller. Plan on having a substantial garden when I move to new acreage.

I like to mess around with digital video, mostly family stuff. I am getting quite a library of digital photos. Haven't used my old 35 mm Canon FTb for awhile. Do all my editing on Apple-Macintosh computers. I find everything easier and more pleasant on a mac. But to each his own.

I like all kinds of music, but my good audio equipment is getting old. Added a DD 5.1 receiver and speakers 4 years ago. Still use my old Polk 7B's for the main speakers. Still sound good, and match up well to the more modern Infinity surround speakers.

Oh yeah, I forgot Tractors. I was around them some when I was growing up, and have rekindled my interest. I'd like to restore or at least revive an old garden tractor some day. This site has been a great place to relearn about tractors, equpment, people, and what-not.

Like to play a little golf and tennis, also.

Well I'm in to model RR and have RC cars and boat also collect 1/16, 1/18, and 1/24 scale nascars and cars. Here are some pictures will take more later.

Jody, you into any of the RC10 Team Associated style RC cars?
I have a whole stock pile of them, but need to move them out to make some room! Hobbies ---- Digital SLR photography, hiking, building wood projects, spending time with the kids, RC planes/cars ---- few other things. ong:

That thing ain't got no hemi! That GTO is sweet. Got a few 1/18 cars also, but now they're my young son's after he pestered me to death to play with "the collector cars". I like all the cars from the muscle car era. Can't really say what my favorite is. I used to have a vette, but sold it.

Would like to get into some of the RC stuff when I move to my acreage

No it don't but i have a Hemi Cuda and a Hemi Daytona will post some more picture tomorrow.

Ok, for starters and in no particular order cause I like em all:

Amateur Radio - I am VE9RHS - advanced
Trout Ponds - got one!
Gardening - lots of those
Computers and networking - build em, repair em and try to keep em all running
McCormick-Deering International Farmall Cubs - 1948 - Ellie Mae and a 1951 - Jethro !:driving:
Designing and building implements and stuff for tractors
Cabinet and Furniture making (retired - owned shop - Interiors by EM)
Drafting
BBQ'ing fresh trout, and any moose or deer I can lay my hands on :eat:
TD7/8 and Payloaders - get to play with them in the summer time :driving:

and oh btw, I think the best project ever would be to find another 1969 Olds 442 W30 H/O and restoring it to cherry condition. That is the ONLY Heavy Chevy to own! Beats a Goat hands down :smiles: I should try to find pics of my 69 rag top! Wow what a car!

other than tractors i collect watch fobs and diecast construction toys hvnt got into little farm tractors yet plus like 2 hunt n fish n get out into outdoors got a cool old harley davidson fob tht belonged 2 my grand pop pple bin wantin it but its heirlomm n cant get rid sentimental things

Always wanted to try out RC aircraft. Always seemed like a good way to crash a few hundred dollors into the ground though. One of these days I will try it though. RC boats also. Looking into a few tug boat kits. Would be kinda fun to mess around with wile I am hanging out in a cove with my big boat.

Ed did you have the hood tach for it to i know that was an option at the time.

Mine did not have the hood tack. At the time a fiiend of mine also had a 67 firebird conv. he was restoring. His was 4speed hood tack & folding rear seat. Mine was 400 auto fractory/ traction bars.
