That's what happens when you are drinking and driving too fast, and it is dark. The 2 guys in the boat survived with some minor injuries. They T-Boned that piling perfect. I bet they couldn't do that again if they tried. An inch either way and the boat might have glanced off off the piling.

I remember reading an article in Boat US's Sea Worthy safety magazine a long time ago. If I recall correctly, they estimated that they were doing a little over 35 mph when they hit and were thrown from the boat.

I wonder

It appears the truck driver is still in the truck. Sure seems like that had to be one of those moments to tell your grandchildren about, if he made it out.

Not a good idea to park your truck and tow rig on unstable ground, especially near a steep drop off or cliff. :naah: :whistle: :dazed:

That trailer ball is pretty strong... knowing my F-150, if it were me, the only thing that would still be connected to the trailer would be the hitch ball...

If

If that boat was any smaller I think he would have been all the way over. The trailer wedging looks like it saved him.
