That's what happens when you are drinking and driving too fast, and it is dark. The 2 guys in the boat survived with some minor injuries. They T-Boned that piling perfect. I bet they couldn't do that again if they tried. An inch either way and the boat might have glanced off off the piling.

I remember reading an article in Boat US's Sea Worthy safety magazine a long time ago. If I recall correctly, they estimated that they were doing a little over 35 mph when they hit and were thrown from the boat.
