Thanks, Chief, that was very interesting.

In my neck of the woods you still see some old Osage Orange trees used as fence rows, or hedgerows. I think if they were planted and trimmed to be real dense, they could keep most animals in or out. The old timers claim the wood from the Osage Orange make the best fence posts.

Evidently Osage Orange is really dense wood as it is the best firewood with the highest BTU output of any wood according to what I have read. I always thought cedar was the best wood for fence posts. Learn something new everyday! The fence rows look pretty kool don't they?
