And

When I first loaded I got a couple of pop ups. I did notice a reduction, but wondered why I got some. I had to go into it and change my setting to reject all of them. When you do that, you can also set it to accept certain ones.

Fly

I get a kick out of this one. It make a sound like a fly is being swatted when a pop-up is blocked. Nice to hear it working it's magic.:skull:

Weatherbug is cool. It shows the current tempature in your area and keeps you up to date with weather advisories, forecasts, etc. If you double click the tempature in the task bar it brings up the console. When you close the console, it always brings up one advertisement. It only does this because I use the free version. Other than the one at that single point in time... it generally is very quiet.

I've been using Netscape as my browser for about 9 months and haven't had a pop-up or error message since. Kinda funny that they pretty much have it built in not to allow pop-ups. Great feature and thats the reason I use it more than anything.

Plus, I like it that it isn't as quirky as IE.

I haven't seen a pop-up for a long time. The no pop-up option is built into Safari, also. Of course to use Safari you have to have a mac, which would be like pissing needles for some of you. :smiles:

leolav-What version of Netscape are you using. The IE that came with my new computer (MS XP Home) keeps preforming an illegal operation and has to close. I need to switch to something else.

My ISP (comcast) says that it provides pop-up blocking and spam blocking... won't a load of (*&)(*&@#(*$#. They don't block a damn thing.
