I have a 1998 Simplicity Legacy XL with a 25hp kohler command. Engine has 1055 hours on it. I mow 3 acres with it. Original owner. About 30 minutes after I initially start mowing, the engine starts to choke for fuel then eventually will die completely. Sometimes engine will fire back up and run for awhile longer or it will take 20 minutes to restart. I pulled the gas line off the valve cover/fuel pump and no gas or its barely spitting out some fuel. Then if I wait awhile, 30 seconds to 20 minutes, it will send a good stream of fuel and run again until it stops again and repeat the cycle. The obvious is no fuel equals no running engine. Could there be any other thing that's happening to make the pump work so sporadically? I ran compressed air back through the gas line to the tank and have good stream of fuel shooting back at me. So there shouldn't be any blockage in the fuel line. Or is it just a bad fuel pump? Thanks
