Maybe a nice $25,000 per F word would tidy up his speech. The thing that should really be happening is that fans should boycott the team when players behave like that. Don't hold your breath waiting for it to happen. It is not that the language is such a big deal as we all slip up from time to time in a moment of anger, but young childeren watch the games and see/hear that and imitate that behavior. Shaq knows that a yet he still behaves like that because he just doesn't give a crap. :furious:
IMO, it wont be long before the F word is used regularly on TV. We are being desensitized as time goes on. I remember it wasn't that long ago when saying "butt head" on TV was contraversial. That's nothing compared to what you hear these days. Bono gets away with saying it on live TV because of who he is and the causes he stands for. Just remember this stuff before you support these people. Think of Madonna in her lesbo lip-lock with Brittany when she stands next to the likes of Wes Clark.
His suspension didn't even phase him. He looses that kind of money, and he laughs it off.
He was reluctant to speak with reporters after practice at Gund Arena, stopping near an elevator only long enough to deliver a joke about the one-game suspension that cost him $275,000.
"No man, including David Stern, can do to me what FICA (federal taxes) hasn't already done," quipped O'Neal, who will make $24.75 million this season.
