Giving the rototiller some overdue love. Pulled the transmission oil plug to check level (as per manual) and found some sort of red sealant beneath. (JB weld?) I think the plug was covered in it, it was a bear to loosen and there was some crud just under the head of the bolt that could be degraded version of the same. There are bits of the stuff all through the threads.

Can I pull that sealant out without dumping it into the oil and causing an issue?

Rototiller is a BCS F46 (Attachment for 2 wheeled tractor)

And yes, I know I still need to clean her, just doing what I can where she sits until the muscle is available.

It could be red loctite which would be in the threads, or it could be some red silicon gasket product to stop the plug from leaking.
Maybe work at cleaning it out with a shop vac or something sucking up the pieces so they don't go into the tranny.

Exacto knife and tweezers might get most of it out in one chunk if I'm careful. Unfortunately I'm a klutz.
