Ran out of diesel

    Ran out of diesel on my major can anyone tell me how to bleed it

    Need to know the Tractor / Model etc...first, usually pretty easy to bleed the air out through the pump &/or cracking injectors though can be a little different process depending on the machine.

    If you have access to all of the injectors then loosen them one by one while cranking the engine until you get a good stream of diesel then tighten them up before you stop cranking. Go through each one and you should be good to go. Diesels are notoriously difficult to start if run out of fuel and usually you will only make that mistake once. Changing a filter can get you in the same trouble. Some engines have a manual plunger pump near or on the fuel pump that would save you from endless cranking on the starter. Good luck!
