A friend of mine rented one something like that to dig himself a little pond with. He said it worked good slow but good and used the bucket to move the dirt he dug around to different spots in his yard.
I wouldn't recommend for pro use, but it was and still is an inexpensive homeowner machine capable of a lot of work, just a little slower as mentioned above. The Power King tractors were definitely not toys and were very well built in their time.
