Thought I'd drop a note related to printers. As I said before, I use the Canon i850 and really like it. As it relates to longevity of ink droplet type of photo printing, I started to do some research. I found that the dye-sublimation printers are SIGNIFICANTLY better.

I searched around and there are a few printers available that are priced very well. If you are looking to print 4 X 6 only, there are two to choose from around the $100 range. If you want to print up to 8.5 X 11, there is only one that is reasonably priced... around $250.
Currently these printers are mostly found to be available on the internet, watch for them to start trickling into the stores. Consumables range fro $15.00 to $50.00 depending on the manufacturer, but as for how many prints you get... I have no idea.
Thought I'd share this since many are thinking about getting into this.
