This photo was taken from the International Space Station at 09:00CDT 08/27/04. Sorry, not by me. :D Maximum sustained winds at the time of the photo were 105mph. Hope you coastal folks don't have to meet her personally. :rolleyes: She makes for a very impressive picture from above though. More information about the photo at the link below.

Umm, 20 or 30 square miles I suppose. :winky:

That's a good question. Let's see, 230 miles up looking at cloud tops probably averaging 9 miles high above the ground around the eye. Still would need to know the specs. on the camera lens to calculate it I guess. :truth:

I would love to travel into orbit and see and feel what it is like up there. Then logic kicks in and tells me I never was cut out for it. :rolleyes:
Thanks to technology we can all travel to places in space, on land, or in the sea that we were only able to dream about in the past. :cool:
