i use martin seynour paint on my tractors get it from local autoparts use it on our other equipmnt too have for years its tuff paint for primer i use the rust oleum red primer fills in good n lasts good
was told bout using self etching primer but never tried tht yet got 2 gallons of another allis orange paint at southern states farm store thy had it on bargain table got it for 5 buks has pik of a kubota tractor on it 4 advertising but its allis paint its a oil base goes on good

Do you have any problem with using another brand of primer under the paint? I have always been told,with modern paints anyway, to always use the same brands. Is that something just with the new types of paint?

paul i never had prob wth using the rust oleum primer wth the martin seynour or other paints its a good covering primer its the heavy rust primer n can be thinned but i put it on right out can wth brush most time one thng i found bout rust oleum put on wth brush it smooths out nice n dsnt leave brush marks painted a dump body on single axle dump truck wth brush n rust oleum it turned out good thy say paint on angle hope tht wasnt too long n answer lol i like talk lol:peace: :band:
