I just heard that the president of France, Jacques (the scum bag) Chirac
who is currently in the U.S., will not be attending former president
Ronald Reagan’s funeral. Talk about lack of respect, to the Reagan
family, to the office of our presidency, to all of us as a nation.

It’s clear to me that the F**king Frog’s hate us. To act like this so
close to the anniversary of “D” day really makes their position clear
to me.

So, as far as I’m concerned it’s time to let them know how I feel about
them. From today on, I will bend over backwards never to allow one
red cent of mine to reach the pocket of a frog. I’ll do some research and
invite all of you to do the same. Post the names of any French company
or American company owned by a French company and do not buy from
them. I don’t care if I have to pay 5 times as much, I’ll never again buy
anything that puts my money in their pocket.

We've been boycotting the French since the UN fiasco that preceded the Iraq war. We won't even fly airlines that fly Airbus planes, which is getting hard to do :(

FRENCH….not Canadians.
Although the Canadian government didn’t stand by the U.S. the
way I would have hoped, there are not thousands of graves of
American solders who died to liberate France in Canada.

Canadians don’t always make the best decisions. Having had first
pick, look at the part of North America they chose.

Thanks for the link. I have been taking Allegra for allergies, but I'll have to have the prescription changed to something else. That will be $80/month they won't get.

I'm from the town that created >> Freedom Fries, To Protest the Frogs running out again on a war , like WW1, WW2, and Vietnam,..... guess who they will come CRYING:furious: to when the get attacked,.......oh well., they FxCK with thier Mouth, and Fight with thier Feet, :eek:mg:

I too was disappointed by our governments handling of the Iraq situation. I don't think we had the resources to help in Iraq, but we should have supported our southern brothers!!!

you are enjoying your current life because the French blockaded the mouth of the Chesapeake when Cornwallis was in Yorktown.

I'm American, and I won't be attending either.

Reagan prostituted his natural charisma to the power brokers behind the throne that gave us the same old "Trickle Down Economics" that never trickled anywhere but sideways...thru the Bush-es...and Rush Limbaugh turns out to be an addict while denouncing drug users...open your eyes.

Our history starts in 1492-ish...the French history goes back over 1500 years...and the Iraq history goes back 5000+...as an enlightened American of French/German/English descent, I gasp at the attitude that if it's not strictly on the US schedule it has no significance...no wonder they all hate us.

I'm hoping this thread turns into a history lesson minus the pro-US propaganda spin...where religious freedom ended in witch hunts and public executions, Indians were replaced by African slaves, then huddled masses yearning to be in sweat shops, then unions formed with criminal activity, with the whole JFK/Civil Rights and college riots of the 60's I came up thru...and the unions only to be busted by Reagan's firing the air traffic controllers...followed by the exporting of the manufacturing jobs...where the countries that lost the last war become the victors...like Japan and Germany...and all those flag wavers back home who support and pay for the cause with their sons lying under headstones get swindled and sold at auction by unscrupulous thieves in expensive suits...because it still works on the backs of slaves...they just keep moving the pea under the shells.

your indignation at the French not making an appearance at a retired actor's wake is at best a hollow gesture along social lines...the French gave us manage a trois...Regan gave us trickle down economics and a deficit it took a Rhodes scholar 8 years to fix...of course the same moral folks that condemn the weinie culture reversed that as of today.

...see... investors like debt...equity is good but oh so volatile...market trends...all that... debt is a stable form of secure income...especially when it's backed by the full taxing authority of the government...that's why rich people buy Treasury Notes and not stocks...gets to the point where making money is secondary to keeping it...and when the **** hits the fan, the debt holders get paid before the owners divy up the remains.

the machine has you spouting hatred like a lemming at the French...when you should be questioning our system and it's crooked workings.

Jefferson warned "The price of liberty is eternal vigilance"...he meant internal.

where shall we start? let's start in Egypt to see who we are and why we think the ways we do...then we'll sift thru the Hebrew influence...thru the Roman Church...then Luther and all the protestor denominations that founded this America...and we're going to find mud the whole way.

your initial statement strongly suggests an ignorance of reality and strongly suggests a product of social brainwashing.

this discussion alone could validate the purpose of the whole concept of an internet...where people share information without the filter of spin doctors.

I'm optimistic.

Modre, let me get this straight. You hate America, you hate the founding fathers and what they stood for, you hate religion, you hate capitalism, yet you love the France and Iraq. It must be hell to go through life hating everybody and everything. Wouldn't it be more satisfying for you to move to one of the countries you respect? Speaking for myself, I am quite ashamed that you are a product of the country I love so much.

Boy, talk about spin. aegt5000's post was about Jacques (the scum bag) Chirac skipping out on a state funeral. Hmmm, our last state funeral was 27 years ago. And AE’s point that we just marked the 60 year anniversary of the deaths of 10,943 men on the beach’s of France. Not exactly a snubbing event. I whole heartedly agree that Chirac is INTENTIONALLY snubbing us.

Modre is most certainly entitled to his opinion and the right to post it here in the words that his spirit moves him. I also think that if Modre is under the age of 34; he is gonna have some serious decision making to do in about a year or so when as I see it, the selective service draft will most likely be reinstituted after the elections. He may end up in the possible postition of having to nourish Jefferson's tree of Liberty. ;)

I had my disagreements with some of Reagan's policies and executive orders but "all in all.............not bad.........not bad at all" to use his words.

By the way johnray13, I agee with your view 110% :thumbsup: ;)

not at all...I think them other countries are stuck in a time where superstition was the only tool they had to define the world around them...and our ancestors escaped gladly...with good reason. If you'll back up off the animal defense reaction of fight or flight, and take the time to follow thru my thoughts on this subject, you'll find that I'm EXTREMELY pro American, I'm a highly moral person...as it was originally understood by the framers of our Constitution...and the flag waving of today is a far cry from the original "Don't Tread on Me" flag.

as far as real estate by accident of birth...I'm extremely fortunate to have been born here...but as far as philosophy...I'm an evolved ape walking around for a finite lifetime...and the ground under my feet is not ownable in any stretch of the imagination...but it is inhabitable and defendable...I hold no alliegence to anyone...any banner, or religious propaganda.

the US soil was prehistory, then it was inhabited by orientals (Indians) then violently taken by Europeans...then the Constitution was circumvented by doubletalk and lawyers into tyhe system we now live under...and I know the details of the entire history....from meadowcraft Rock shelter thru Adena on up thru the woodland period (I'm in SW Pa, so the main focus is local...but I have some understanding or Pre-Columbian America elsewhere0...and only the last 600 years is white...the previous 30K weren't.

as far as the founding Fathers...they did really good...in the Declaration they stated (paraphrased) "Governments are instituted amongst men to serve the people deriving their just powers by the consent of the governed"...that's a fair and honorable statement by anyone's standard...can't find fault there...then while setting the rules of incorporation in place, insisting on an armed civilian population, not only for food and militia, but to keep a government in check that was prone to revert back into the common European forms they were specificly trying to separate from...and specificly spelling out (paraphrased) power not assigned to the Fed or the State is to remain in the hands of the people. in 1781, that was an unheard of concept...no...I like what them guys were about and what they tried hard to do just fine...I'll scream that message loud and clear from the mountaintops.

now as far as "capitalism"...this is catchwords like "communism" that evoke an emotion long before an intelligent thought...so we have to be careful tossing words around with a sloppy wide brush that paints everything one color...this is where the "give me your huddled masses" hides a few terrorists with poor attitudes and designs on airplanes. so it helps to separate the guys who want to work and advance their position for their families, and the guys who want to murder 3,000 people and hide in sheep skins.

Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of happiness capitalism is perfect...it's when the owners throw out the workforce to starve in the streets because he can outsource his labor and put big money in his personal pocket while the talent he crawled over to succeed can eat ****...then shift the cash to Switzerland and screw the stepping stones...I have a problem with...either were all in this together to some honorable standard, or it's cut throat every man for himself where the middle class pays the bill and the fat guys cheat thru stealing lawyer tactics where capitalism goes astray.

i don't have anything against the French...Iraq?...I think after 5000 years of recorded history they did lousy to tell you the truth...not really much to show for the effort...lucky they're sitting on the oil, or they'd be a forgotten footnote in a sandstorm...I haven't seen any women I'd cross the street to meet...at least the French have women.

why don't we sit here like intelligent gentlemen and discuss this further...you'll not be insulted or disrespected by me in any way...and I think you'll come not only to respect some thoughts, but actually like me as a human being as well...and you'll not likely make the from the hip statements you just made when you get a fuller understanding of who I am and what I believe in... predjudice and ignorance are anchors that freeze men's minds to make them slaves of an agenda.

so... I like America, I like the ideas that went into it, I have no use for superstition, not crazy about lyin' thieves, but respect talent, ambition, and hard work, French ancestors but fairly ambivilent on them one way or the other, think Iraqis are retarded socially and follow traditions that keep them ignorant, I don't hate much of anything besides liers, thieves, and predators...and you shouldn't be ashamed of me.

too kind...I was born in 1952...I hid under the desk practicing for nuclear attacks...went to school that day in Cuban Missle October when we weren't sure if that was the last day on earth...saw JFK, MLK, and RFK political assassinations...experienced Viet Nam from afar with a 317 draft number in my pocket, and saw people in the streets protesting and getting beat up by authorities...Kent State...I've seen a lot.

funny thing is the schools teach enough to transfer image but not enough substance to transfer understanding...and I'm pretty sure it's on purpose...because they really don't want an educated population...they want lemmings who jump when they're told to jump...if folks really understood the words

If the frogs who live in France today had the balls of their ancestors
who helped us during our revolution we wouldn’t be talking about this.
As far as a history lesson, I agree we have an opportunity to learn from
the example of this group of once brave, courageous and industrious
people. They have become so sophisticated and enlightened to the social
virtues that this once great nation has degenerated into a group of people
who have been unable to defend their shores for the past 100 years and who
have mired in a second class economy for about as long. So I whole heartily
agree the leftist agenda that has led to the self destruction of the French is a
lesson we should learn from

If you feel that Reagan’s accomplishments of developing and executing the
strategy that ended the cold war (fighting the Dem’s every step of the way)
re-igniting the positive passion of an America that had been brainwashed into
pessimism by the era of malaise created by his predecessor and developing the
“Trickle Down Economics” policy that, by the way, led the U.S. out of the
greatest economic downturn since the great depression, I disagree with you.
Reality speaks for itself. Reagan’s poker game forced the Soviet’s to fold,
the reversal of public opinion, from pessimism to optimism, is unparalleled
and the Reagan era economic turnaround was the validation of “Trickle Down”.

While you may not think so, Reagan WILL BE REMEMBERED for these accomplishments,
while your Rhodes scholar will be forever remembered for something else.

Your reference to Jefferson’s quote “The price of liberty is eternal vigilance”
and your interpretation that he meant “internal” vigilance is admirable, but your
attack on the Jewdaio /Christian influence on our country, would be completely
out of step with Jefferson. Someone as connected to reality as you are should
not be ignorant of the fact that Jefferson (and his friends) built our way of life on
the fundamentals of that influence. If he were around today I’m sure he would
point to the liberal justices who have decided to make law’s instead of interpret
them as our failure of “internal” vigilance.

I started this thread to bring to the attention of other forum members, something
the French president (and people) are doing that let’s us know how much of an
ally we have in France and my commitment to respond in kind. You decided to
turn it into a “Bash America” thread. There is a reason for that. I suspect you did
not “Realize the American Dream” and you are unhappy. I also suspect that your
EXCUSE for this is not you own inability, but the fault of some influence outside
your control. Surly someone else is responsible for your lack of achievement.

well first of all, after my people left, all they could come up with a the Peugot...so some compassion might be in order for the handicapped...

...and the only noteworthy military period was under Napoleon...who was a short Italian...so at their peak, they were looking up to about 5'5" at best...

you obviously have more respect for American politics and Presidents than I do...and we can leave it at that.
