Good Morning marymays448, welcome to the forum.

All that you need to do is reverse the battery cables (positive cable from the battery is now ground... the negative cable from the battery goes to the starter), then reverse the wires on the amp gauge, and switch wires on the coil input.

After converting our 550 to negative ground the battery was draining. We found that the source was the ignition switch. The solution was to insulate the ignition switch from the body.
