Oliver 1850 should i buy it.

Hello I found oliver 1850 it has not been started estimate 5 yrs. The tractor is gas I hooked up a battery it tried to turn over I saw the alternator turn a very small amount. The oil looks great it says it has 3600hrs its gas. The owner wants scrap metal price for it. Is it worth buying it for that amount. Thanks the engine didn't turn over but the cam was twitching a little maybe stuck or battery wasn't 100% charge.

Hello farmalldave, welcome aboard.

Oliver made good tractors back in the day.... You cannot beat scrap metal price for it. If it was stored outside, were the exhaust & intake pipes covered? Before you spend a lot of money on it, make sure the engine will turn over.
