Just wondering if anyone knows anything about this brand. Shaver Graettinger Iowa. Serial# A2250 tag on lift arm. And number 622 cast on gear housing. Appears rugged older unit. Doesn't appear to be much info on the net. about these older models. Seems they are still making them but not this model. Has to be better than what is left of my Tractor Supply embarrassment of a post hole digger

Good brand name auger. Just check the input/output shaft seals for leakage. If you can check gear oil level for quality/quantity even better. Condition of auger bit will give a general idea of use and care. B.

Clean oil no leaks well weathered . Bit is fair . just trying to figure vintage. But thanks
