It seems to me as I get older I have forgotten how to spell.Easy stuff too.When I find myself posting sometimes I do not type exactly what I want to just because I will come to a word that I have forgotten how to spell. Is this a personal problem,an old age problem,or normal?I am not even sure if I spelled personal correctly.
Does anyone else suffer from this disorder or is it just me?:stupid:

LOL Boy I tell you, I feel it. After spending all last week with a KILLER cold, I was WIPED OUT!! I could hardly walk.

Sorry slipshod, It's just you:lmao: Not really, inasmuch you and I are close to the same age, it's just something that happens. That and all the aches and pains associated with the "golden years". I'd like to hunt down who ever coined that phrase and stomp him.:smiles:

Slip, let not thy brow be troubled! angel :cowboy: :smiles: I know exactly what you are enduring and have this horrible chronic disease. First off you are not forgetting things. It is called having a "senior moment" and being weeks away from clicking over 46 on the odometer myself; I have them all the time. These "senior moments" are a clear symptom of this horrible chronic disease called "CRS". (can't remember sh!t) It plagues me all the time and causes me to take twice as long to do anything because of laying stuff down and forgetting where I put it or some other such thing. As far as the spelling thing.........what works like a million bucks for me is that I leave an email window open so I can put a word I am trying to spell in it and then run spell checker. Works like a champ! :drinkin: :smiles:

This is an example of what I like best about the forum.Originally I asked if anybody else has forgotten how to spell.We have in a very short time worked our way through several old age infirmaries.These treads evolve in some strange ways.

You kids are scaring me! On my next birthday, I'll turn 70. Spelling has never been a problem, but typing is. That's why I proof-read everything I type. I think it's a good habit. Of course, I never typed before I was 60.

The machine I want to get is one I saw on T.V. It's a fast forward button for my wife. It would save listening to a lot of other stuff before she gets to the point.

It's not your CPU it's your hard drive! As we travel longer on the road of life we accumulated data. As we reach the limit of our data storage capacity. What happens is when we reach this point, something new pushes out something old like correct spelling. So you see, the inability to spell is not a sign of old age but rather the acquisition of an over abundance of knowlege. Why do you think VIAGRA has only six letters!! :clap:

Well, I am 7 years behind My Cub-Guru George and like him I also proof read all that I type before submitting a post. I never typed before 4 years ago and My keyboard keys almost have holes in the centers from the beak on my chicken pecking 1 finger typing . I also consider Myself an excellent speller but lately I can get to a word that momentarily stumps me after spelling it correctly all My life.I also cant :dancingfo anymore either.

Johnbron, I think you are a good speller (with exception of cant/can't), but you could improve on your grammar and proper use of capitalizing. Points of interest...

- 7, 4 and 1 should be spelled out
- Myself and My should not be capitalized
- Need double space after periods
