I have just redone my first tractor and I think I hooked. I came across this 51 8n and got it for next to nothing so I figured why not give it a shot. Plus I have 6 acres so I could put it to some use. It came with a Freeman loader with a trip bucket and I still need to finish painting it but tell me what you think.

My dad which is the one in the picture because he couldn't get my digital camera to work has a 34 chevy truck that is in boxes and we have it on the 3 year completion plan.

Welcome to The Tractor Forum rzeigler. Having a great looking 8N that you’ve restored yourself will make you a valued member, but a 34 chevy truck in the process of being restored!!! We’ll want you to keep us updated on that project also. We like lots of pictures.

You must have put many hours of hard work into your tractor. It shows. Just finding one for next to nothing had to have been quite a feat.

You didn’t say how you plan to use it on your six acres, but if you do much “bush hogging”, be sure your ORC is in good working order. Wouldn’t want to see that perfect grille all bent out of shape, to say nothing of side of your wife’s new Cadillac:)

I have some bush hogging to do but I also ride dirt bikes so I'll be putting the loader to work for some berms and things but for winter it'll be all about snow removal. The funny thing is the tractor pretty much found me I wasn't even looking yet because my dad has a case 430 with loader and all the other goodies that I was going to use but figured I couldn't pass up the deal my wife loves to here those words"ha ha ha" I will post some pics of the 34 when I get some.
