I decided to open up this new forum to discuss the following types of topics:

PC/Internet Questions - general PC stuff including networking.
Photography - from standard point-click 35mm to SLR, to Digital to D-SLR cameras. I have extensive experience with Minolta, Canon and Nikon cameras --- but I am mostly Nikon based at this point.
I have owned no less than 8 digital cameras over the last several years. I currently use the Fuji S2 Pro D-SLR (12MP) camera with (2) GB Microdrives, Firewire, lenses from Sigma Macro and 50-500 zooms with TC and Nikon VR series. Questions could also be answered about digital photography and PC interfacing and posting/editing etc. I like photography and while I am not an "expert" -- I feel like I have a very good grasp of the hobby.

Do you have a digital camera laying around that you want to trade for something? Mine cost twenty fife dollars and won't take pics. except in bright sunlight.

My digital is a Sony Cyber-shot 3.3 Megapixel MPEGMovie EX with a Carl Zeiss Vario-sonnar lens. It is easy to use, accepts Sony memory sticks and takes up to 45 seconds of video. All the pictures I have posted here have been taken with it.

(I also have a Kodak DC210 Zoom camera, but it needs to be sent in for repair.)

I have a Sony Mavica with memory stick. I am not as smart as my Equipment,just went and took some shots of my Cub to post and promptly erased all but one.

i have an old sony mavica that uses 3.5" floppies.. its wicked old by digital camera standards but it has a good zoom and can still do 1 minute videos...

Olympus Stylus 300 -- $275. I bought it about a year ago. Overall I’m happy with it. Only thing I’ve noticed is it doesn’t like the color purple. Purple comes out blue for some reason…?

I have been VERY happy with my SONY MVC-CD400. It is a 4 megapixel camera that writes directly to CD's. Best damn camera I've ever had. I also have an older Olmpus OM-10 (non-digital... duh) which is nice, but the CD400 is awesome.

Hey Andy,

No, No. That's dad’s collection, (don’t have to wonder where I get it from). When we went over for Easter this year, we were greeted with his lineup. In the Morton building in the background, there’s a full size Kubota front-end loader w/backhoe and a Massey Ferguson farm tractor – (& let’s not forget the pickup truck).

He’s 77 now and slowing down a bit. He’s having a smaller home built in the Poconos. A lot less land and a lot less maintenance. I haved to assume most of his equipment will be sold. I just don’t have the room for the big stuff…

He picked up the 8N a couple of years ago – it’s a 1948. I was shocked to hear how many are still in service. We put a stearing gear assemly in last year. It was during the installation that I understood why so many are still around – they’re built like tanks – very simplistic – very durable.

What are the trash cans on the back of that one for. Is it part of the grass catcher or is it what he brings the trash out to the road with.

What make is that third one back? I see you like red.

There’s only one trash can in the back of the Big Toro – it’s on the receiving end of a Trac-Vac collection system. The third one back is a Toro also – new this year w/38 deck.
