I have a Ford 420 Tractor with a bucket and Gannon. The tractor number is C579603, can anyone help me identify it. I believe it is a 1975 but not sure. Thank You

C579603 is a serial number from 1978. It does not say on the page for 420 that I linked to, but the same serial number sequence was used for farm tractors, and this page shows it:

A date code can confirm the date of assembly.


You need a model code to identify the tractor.
Look for a sticker on the underside of the hood:

Numbers that are stamped on the tractor are the best (stickers/hoods can be swapped):

Grab all the numbers you can find. If it is a 420, the model code has six letters/numbers and starts with KD.

The pdf that can be downloaded from this site:
gives that model code KD211F means:
Model 420
1976-1978
Diesel engine
No PTO
4x4 torque converter auto reversing (power reversing) transmission.

The Oaktree and Tractordata sites gives that Production code (Unit) 8G06B means:
The tractor was assembled 6 July 1978, in USA.
