Have you guys seen the Ford truck ad? They're bragging up their payload capacity and stuff. Pretty sad!!:rolleyes:

:lmao: Aw c'mon Mow,, I just about fell out of my chair laughing when I got that in an email. Got quite a few more too, but that one was about the only one without SERIOUS profanity! Don't want to get sent to GW!:lmao: :lmao:

That just ain't right. For either of them to haul ass, they'd have to make two trips. Do they beep when backing up?

I always thought those little tailgate cable thingies had a weight limit. Wasn't there a recall notice about them coming loose and the tailgate falling. Could you imagine those two falling? The poor truck would need a loader attachment to dig out of the hole created.

If the tailgate broke the sudden downward motion of the back end of the truck, and the sudden compression of the springs, would send the rear of the truck upward and it would end up on the roof.:furious:

thanks for the image parts i'll add that to the list of reasons i don't drive a ford pickup. what would happen if they sat on the side of the box the way they build these new trucks. its like the chev commercial where they hook onto the tree and stretch the truck from reg cab to club cab to quad cab. all that says to me is look how light we're building our trucks now

Tell you what... My Little 6 Cylinder Ford Pickup would not be able to pull those 2 wide glides around...

it was gmc with the recall

thanks jb. I have an S-10 and didnt get it, but a friend has a Sonoma and got it. The parts look the same to me
