Hello,
I need some help trying to put a tire back on a rim. Its a old Massey Ferguson that my neighbor has. I don't know anything about tractors, but i do know we are having a horrible time trying to get the tire on. I'm convinced we are missing a step. The size matches but we just can't seem to get the bead to go over the rim. It seems impossibly to stiff.

Is the center of the rim smaller than the outer flange? Usually this will allow the first part of the tire that goes on, to drop down into the center and allow the rest of the tire to go on. When I look at the first pic, i see that the tire is out on the flange. There is no way you're ever gonna get it on like that. If the center of the rim is smaller that the outer part of the rim, then push the upper part of the tire into it, temporarily. Good luck.

Welcome to the forum Adam. You may have to Push the top of the tire back off the bead into the center of the rim as Sheenist said, to give you a bit of slack to finish mounting the tire.
