Great info bj. Thanks for bringing it to the attention of the massey owners. Its great to look back on history when this country was the #1 manufacturing co. jin trhe world.....everybody wanted to be ,ike us now everybody wants us to be more like them......

Massey Harris and Ferguson Merged in 1953. For a couple of years they sold the same tractors thru both Massey & Ferguson dealers with different sheet metal and as in the case of the Pony just a gray paint job rather than the Massey red.
Some of the real rare Massey Fergusons are forever lost do to dealers Painting and decaling tradeins which had the long Massey Harris Ferguson decal on the originals.

:rolleyes: I personally don't think the rest of the world wants us to be like them. Most of the world hate us for what we have and what we have did and can do when we set our minds to it. Even today we would be the strongest MFG force in the world if we didn't have to compete with what amounts to slave labor.

I didn't think We were ever the No 1 manufacturing country in the world, though Massey :canada: was the No 1 tractor company for quite a while!
