Ok, I got the Davis loader mounted on my 8N but it isn't working, It's been sitting for some time and my guess is maybe it's leaked out enough oil to make it not function, My question is What kind of oil should I top it off with? It isnt red like Hydraulic oil and look more like motor oil.

My guess would be something along the lines of John Deere Hyguard or Walmart Quatrol or Transmission/Hydraulic oil. Basically it is 30 wt oil without the motor additives and hydraulic system additives. I take it you have no owner, manual? My 1st choice would be to try and locate a manual and use what it specifies. If that is not possible, then I would go with the above fluids.

I've been searching for a manual but havent had any luck so far. I'll check with one of the local farm supply dealers and see what they have for oil.
