I am looking at purchasing the above riding mower. It looks pretty good and I am looking for all opinions. I have been replacing the drive belt and is very difficult due to the cover. Having it done at the dealer is 3 hours of their time.
I found this U-tube video for replacing the drive belt on a Kubota T2380, which should be similar to your T2290 (T series tractors). I had a neighbor that used to lift the front end up like the video illustrates to change belts, etc. Very useful if you have a strong tree limb, or overhead beam, or an engine hoist. Be safe.

I realize this is an old post, but I just went through the financial pain of getting the drive belt on my T2290 replaced at my local Kubota dealer. Is there any way that I can get to this video, that you had attached to your previous post?
Attached below is a thread describing the process required to change the drive belt on a Kubota T2290. I'm do not know if this is the most efficient route. Do you have a service/shop manual for your tractor?? If not, get one. Just be patient and follow their steps.
I did my main drive belt (engine to rear axle hydro) today and replaced the idler pulleys on my T2290KWT lawn tractor and what a bit@h of job to do for a belt replacement. Machine has 65 hours on it and the idler pulley seized causing damage to the belt. Engine must be removed, steering...
