back in the early 80s and it was the only company I ever worked for where I didn`t have a name, In there books I was a number and refered to as a number not a name. My issued hard-hat even had my designated number on it not my name.

I've worked at places like that too. The employees are just like furniture, to be replaced when needed and thought of no more.
