John Deere 2020 rockshaft control issue

I have a 1967 John Deere 2020 diesel. The rockshaft control seems to have one anomaly. When the load control selective lever is in the lower L notch or in the middle LD notch the rockshaft raises and lowers just fine, however when the selective lever is set in the upper Dnotch the rockshaft immediately goes all the way up and stays there even with the rockshaft control lever all the way forward. I bought the tractor used and it is well serviced and otherwise works perfectly. I suspect the rockshaft housing has been removed in the past and maybe wasn’t installed correctly. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

I figured out the problem! As I mentioned in my original post I suspected the rockshaft housing had been removed and possibly reinstalled incorrectly so I carefully lifted up the rockshaft housing with an engine hoist and immediately spotted a bent piece of linkage from the load control linkage. After carefully bending back to it’s original shape I reinstalled the rockshaft housing and problem solved.
