I wonder how well this unit will keep cool, being that the new G5 processors run hotter than the G4's and G3's. The new iMac is only 1.99 inches wide in the 17" version, and 20" is only 2.2 inches thick. Still it's pretty slick engineering, much like the Power Mac G5 layout cooling and its 9(!) fans.

looks slick but still its far too neat for me...

great idea.. i wonder how long it will be before the real pcs start becoming 1 piece...
a long time ago our company got a deal on these acer 1 piece pcs..
(not slick like that G5)
but the problem was.. wehen there was any issue with the pc.. you could not simply buy a new video card or drive.. it was all specific for that pc.. translated.. costed twice what it should haver costed...

but i guess that wont be an issue.. i forgot.. macs never break...:furious: :furious:

The G5 Power Mac is upgradable, using standard PC parts, sans PC motherboards and x86 processors. The iMac will probably be more limited, but I'm sure the HD, optical drive, ram, modem card, wireless card are replaceable.
