Wanted to get an idea of how many have insurance or have even thought about it for their tractors. Most home owner's policies will cover it with some exception but not cover against all types of losses. Most require that the tractor remain on YOUR property for your personal use only. Some even have a limit on size/hp. Best to check with your insurer.

Who do you have your insurance with?

Cost?

Coverage?

It is a very important issue to consider with so much invested in the equipment.

Between Taxes and Insurance

I think insurance is the better buy.Due to the way that I use my equipment I have a contractor policy that is a custom fit for me.If I did not do any backhoe or tree work it would almost be reasonable. To make it affordable I have a $2000.00 deductable on my liability policy.Between my rolling stock, equipment and process yard, tractors, job site liability I pay over $1200.00 for $750,000 in coverage.I also carry a personel liability blanket for $1,000,000 for $98.00 dollars a year.If I do over $1,750,000 in damage I will get out of the business.
