Lord knows how much we've spent over the years heating 500 gallons of water we rarely use. It's nice, but like a lot of things, the novelty wears off in a couple of years. Wish I had the money we tied up in it. Could outfit a really nice woodshop and would find it much more relaxing.

Had our h'tub for four years now, and you're right about the novelty wearing off after the first year or so. We don't use the jets near as much as we did the first two years.
The empty nest syndrome has hit us so the wife & I are finally able to just relax in it and enjoy ourselves. We have grandkids now and when they come over they love it.
Our h'tub gets used year round. In the summer we turn it into a "cool tub". I think it may be cheaper than owning a pool.
