uuuurgh...their is a new HBO special that focuses on a family based on Long Island. They are bail bondman's and they look like
a bunch of mutant retards. Not a true reflection of Long Island
I would say - we actually have classy, respectful, nice people here..
Pretty much an embarrassment, and hopefully it gets dropped right away...just my rant

I can relate to your point, Duc. Whenever the national news does a piece here in Missouri, I swear they go out of their way to find the most mutant, backwoods individuals with the least amount of teeth for an interview. Especially after the "Tornado rips through trailer park" instances.:lmao:

With Saint Hillary as one of your senators, do you think NY has decent representatives in any venue? New York has become California-east when it comes to bizarre characters. Example: Rev Sharpton, Howard Stern, Martha Stewart, Feona Helmsley, to name a few. Of course my state of PA has Senator Arlen Spectre of "magic bullet" fame and Frank Rizzo, among others. The media does not want to show case the ordinary hard working folks that are the glue that hold this country together, only the freaks and misfits that contribute nothing. Catch an episode of the Gotti reality show and see if that eases your mind about bailbondsmen in Long Island.

I had forgotten about Joey and Amy... and poor Mrs. Joey who even after being shot in the face stood by her guy, until he cheated again. The days of "Father knows best" "Ozzie and Harriet", and Leave it to Beaver" which showcased (idealized of course) middle America families where dads worked, paid taxes, made car payments, and loved their kids is not considered entertainment any more. Now it is homosexual single parents of an interracial child, or somebody like "Dog" Chapman hunting bad guys in Hawaii, or billionaire Oprah telling us how we are not fullfilled enough, or quacks like Dr. Phil telling us we are not mentally healthy if we don't agree with him. It is just not NY television, it is all of television becoming the predicted "Vast wasteland"! If it wasn't for baseball, I wouldn't watch much else, and that is becoming a soap opera too.
