I am not brand new here, but I am new.LOL I had not seen this forum untill today. So I will give you a little info about myself.

My name is Chris, I am 21, will be 22 on October 23. My favorite color is blue. Ever since I grew up, I allways had a facination over tractors and LT and grass.LOL But there are other things I am interested in too. I pretty much like all tractors, but only like JohnDeer and Kubota Lawn Tractors. I have a Lawn Care service, Small Engine Repair service, and a Computer Repair service. Computer Repair is on the downlow right now because I am building several old computers to have a computer sale. I have been working on small engines and mowing lawn since I was 10 years old. I am also interested in playing the piano, bike riding, hicking, fishing, video games, small talk.LOL

I have a Johndeer 4710 tractor.
I have a JohnDeer GT235 Lawn Tractor
I have a Kubota G1800 Lawn Tractor
I have a Cheap Murray Rear Engine Rider.LOL

I am looking forward to meeting many of you out there, so go ahead and post away!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think even though it runs like a deer, it is spelled like a Deere.
Funny I figured your favorite color would have been green with the JDs and the lawn work. Well, keep the interesting posts coming --- you sure do ask some mighty insightful questions especially since you run an engine repair business. Maybe you could teach us a few tricks or tips sometime on that front.

It is amazing that you are able to be so financially diversified as to own, operate and budget those expensive JD tractors with all of your side business going on and free time spent here posting at age 21... Do you have a wireless link from the seat of your 4710 that allows you to post while you are working and billing time to your customers? You must be quite the busy bee.

I am very buisy man, and yes, I do have a Pocket PC which does wireless connects to my laptop at home. Now of course the pocket pc is not attached to the tractor. I have it in a carying case. So whenever I take brakes, I pull it out and post here. As you can tell I take many brakes. But that is the advantige of having your own buisness instead of working for someone! The only reason I can get all this lawn care done in time to do other services and post here is because when I bought the Kubota tractor, it came with a 54inch deck. For a home owner it is big enough, but not for a service. So, I traded and upgraded the 54 to a 62inch deck. It cuts wide. And because the tractor has a maximum of 15 miles per hour. I can mow 1/2 up to 4 acres quickly. I use my 4710 for farm type work that people call me on. That involves, tilling gardens cultivating land, plowing fields, mowing fields. Halling stuff away. And I also use the bucket to remove snow in the winter time! Have a backhoe for digging as well. The JD LT is just for my home use. I used to live a home that had 2 acres of grass land to mow, but now I decided to move to a smaller place, because I am so buisy, I have no time to take care of 2 acres! And well of course the Cheap Murray 8HP Rear Engine Rider. Got it free from somebody because it did not run. You guys already know about this thing cause I have posted about it already. Well, I think I covered everything.LOL I got to get back to work. I am curently right now using my 4710 to till 100 square feet for a garden.

Of course I was talking 100 * 100. Thats what I mean when I say 100 square feet. Sorry I did not clarafy. And yes, I own my own 4710. It took me a long while to save up, but I was able to do it. I will admit I did pay for it in 5 instalments, but that ok right? Anyway, my tilling job is done. YAY! LOL

The feature I like the most about my 4710 is that if runs out of diesal you can put more in there and it will start up right away onlike other diesals you can not do that! My second favorite feature would probably be the comfort. Its really smooth operating and smooth riding. And 3rd favorite would be that it is 48HP. Anyone who has a full time job can buy one of these you just have to save up for one.

I do not have a digital camera yet, when I buy one of these days, I will post pics of all my equipment. However, right now, I am focusing on other things. I have been working very long hours trying to get back up on my finnancial scale. See as you know, when you save up for something, all that money you would use for bills gets saved up for somthing else. But I am not doing bad at all. Its just, I am the type of person that like to have at least 5000 in the bank at all times incase of emergencies. That kinda thing. You understand.

Why cant you just put more diesel in and have it start up on some tractors? I have actually heard about that, but never knew the reason. That 4710, is it the bigger brother to the 4100? Way bigger lol

I think its because of the fuel injection system. As everybody knows, diesal engines do not use sparkplugs. They use fuel injection. And to ignite that fuel, they use high compression.

When they run out you get air in the lines and it wont start till you crack open each link while you turn it over to get the air out. Once you have fuel come out of the line you close it off and go to the next line. You do that to each line and then it will start.
