Well went to fire up the old N, and gas is POURING out of the carb. Never had that problem before, and idea why now? Is it the cold, or just the fact that I will need it to plow today? Any quick, stuck at the side of the road, fixes?
:argh: Give that Carb a few knocks up side its head with a piece of wood or the end of a hammer handle. (Fast Remedy) The float is probably sticking. Take the Carb apart and clean it. (Slow Remedy). :globesnow
Tap Tap Tap On side of carb with plastic screwdriver handle or pliers might help unstick the float. Turn the gas on first and see if this helps. If not, pull the carb and check the float for leaks and/or see if the retaining pin for the float is in place. If your float is OK, and the hinge to the float is OK, and the adjustment is OK, then suggest you get a another needle and seat. If you need anything else, lemme know.
