Many good programs and several for free Try Irfan View, Vue Pro, search for Photo programs, take your pick..

jbetts i don't know how your computer is but if i want to change a picture from bitmap to jpeg i email it to myself and it does it for me. Then i save it to my pictures.

You could always open them & then save them as a .jpg using the "Save As" option. You'd need to select ".jpg" as file type.

I change mine by opening them up in my paint program, then saving under a different name. It gives me the option to save as a jpeg.
