Hi,
in the picture below my hydraulic line comes into the pump housing (#2) and has a high pressure small leak right where the line goes into the housing body, is the line separate from the housing or are they an interconnected part, if it’s all one part can the small leak be repaired maybe welded ?
if not does the line go into the housing and have to be flared ?
Thanks in advance if you have any knowledge of this part.

Hello Keyasguy, welcome to the forum.

On my tractor, the hydraulic connections are "double flared" connections. I have had a number of them develop very fine cracks right close to the flare. If this is your case, you can buy a double flare kit and do it yourself. Cut off a minimal amount of tube, just enough to eliminate the crack. Use a "close quarters" tubing cutter to make a nice square cut. Then use the double flare kit to make the new double flared connection.

Thank you for you information, it looked like it was one molded part but that makes sense, yes the leak is very close to the housing, this is actually my son’s tractor and he lives about 100 miles away I’ll let him know, a double flare kit, that doesn’t sound to bad.
thanks again.
