Happy Easter!

We attended the Easter Vigil Mass last night. Three hours long, but will worth it. It was gratifying to see seventeen new members join the church after their months of RCIA preparation. The obvious joy they had - young and old alike - was so heart warming. We were glad to be a part of their special time.

Today we are getting ready to have the whole family over. The wife and kids are cleaning and I am making lasagna for twenty.

A Happy Easter to all forum members and guests. May God bless you at this, our most special time, and throughtout the year.

Happy Easter Jody and to all form members.
We will be making our long yearly Easter journey to my
older brothers house (we are back to back neighbors).
Sure beats going to my younger brothers house (Manhattan)

Our family has settled into “Assigned” holidays with each of us
hosting the same ones year after year. Does it work that way
for some of you ?

Ya we do that also. Splitting time between my famley, and my wifes. Easter has always been my wifes famley, and the rest are kinda swapped back and forth.

Now that we are in our new house, a lot of the days are moving to our place. We now have the bigest place to host things, plus haveing the baby it is just easyer to have them all here.

happy belated easter all..

we went down to my sisters for dinner/egg hunt.. it was a blast.. we at a ton.. brought home ham, and all the fizins, stuffed mushrooms, stuffed artichokes, ect.. also a tray of home made manicotta, and 1 and a half of a pizza pie (italian pie its like a regular pie with crust but full of italian cold cuts and cheese & ricotta) very good, plus annisett cookies and almond macaroons and other desserts..
plus brought home a ricotta pie (another dessert) when we got home.. we found that my girlfriends mother snuck by and left us a big tin of cookies and a big cheese cake.. good food.. and good thing its spring.. maybe i can work some of it off.. otherwise im sure to weigh 400 lbs by the times all the food is gone.
