I have a Troybilt Pony tiller. I am looking for a replacement gas tank (preferably a plastic tank, the other one is rusted beyond help) based off of this engine's date code of 93052607, this engine (Briggs and Stratton) was manufactured on May 26th, 1993. Any help would be appreciated!

Yes they are , however it is still cheaper than buying a new one if I can get the rust out. I went on You Tube, and they suggested putting hardware like nuts inside the gas tank with the cap on, and shake it several times dump out the nuts and then rinse it out with gas. I am sure the carburetor is all gummed up so I will need to take it apart and clean it. I have used Stabil in ethanol gas ( after the fact) and it seems to work pretty well. I have also read that if you run the engine till it is out of gas you don’t run the risk of the ethanol gumming up everything. Oh well. Thanks again and let me see if I can find some bolts.
