Well, my neighbor has decided to sell this restored king (much too big and powerful for either of our 2 property needs) WOW - it would spin my 5' bushhog like a top and send it into outerspace!
:alien:

Question:
What is a good price to expect to ask/receive for a mint condition - completely 100% overhauled tractor with brand new tires, parts, components, every single bolt replaced and mint paint job? It is a powerhouse 4-cylinder diesel 1978 Ford 6600 -- 78+HP --- I know that a new tractor in the 80HP range would be very costly --- and this can do all of those things plus it is a restored classic! :D :D :D

Any ideas? Anyone truly interested before we place it up on Ebay?
Please respond here or email me at [email protected]

Thanks!

And finally a couple more.....man them' dialupers are gonna hate you now, Johnbron for asking for all of them pics ---- :D

And believe me --- these were taken at 6.2MP and are nearly 2.5MP in size before I scale them down to 1024x768 jpegs...so
rest assured it could be much worse, but you want DETAIL --wow those 6.2MP pics -- you can read the writing on the bolt heads!
WOW!

Does someone mind posting a referral link to the ytmag board or something to see what this tractor is worth for an asking price?
It is truly a sight to behold in person. :D

Just for reference : new parts galore! tie rods, ends, tires, rims, injectors, all hoses/clamps/connectors, hydraulic lines, pumps, caps, clutch plate, throw-out bearing, axle seals, engine completely overhauled 100% - tranny taken out, cleaned and reassembled 100% - everything completely MINT from brand new bolts to custom HD fender to HD battery and down to the last cosmetic decal and shift knobs. No corners cut, this is a fine tractor and it has TONS OF POWER - 78+ HP.
This is not a 20ft. paint job "shade tree rebuild" --- this is a frame up restoration.

Sometimes it is hard to tell what amount of time & work has gone into a restoration but I can tell you that my neighbor has an incredible gift for this and it shows. I am excited this project is complete --- tractor is located in Hammond, LA and is for sale.
I wanted to give the members here and in the tractor community a chance to buy it outside of the hassle and wait times (as well as bidding wars and conflicts) sometimes found on Ebay.

Ford 5000 on steroids. Nice machine he has there. I have owned a 5000 for about 10 years and it is a horse. Not as pretty as that one ,but it could be.

The pictures turned out pretty good --- I had to do some PS7 work on em because it was BRIGHT AS HECK when I took these pics on Saturday. I took em at 160ISO to compensate the bright conditions but man they are still "shiny" and due to that low ISO some of the shaded ones were very dark --- so PS7 helped.

These pics were taken on my property --- love not having to cut the grass every week! :hooray: Any input on the pricing/offers for this tractor? Get crackin mods! :D :ride:

Eden Tractor has a redone 4000 with a loader and they are asking $5500.00. Craig at Eden Tractor does that caliber of work.

That's hard to say. Unless you find someone who is an enthsuiast of that particular tractor. The cold and hard facts are: it's a 70+ HP, two wheel drive, CatII tractor. The workhorse of the industry, of which there are many.
