Hi All,
I have a nice Ford 5000 gas 4-cyl with an engine knock in #4 cylinder. I pulled the head and found a rust pinhole in the cylinder wall. Can this engine be sleeved? Do you know a shop who can do the work?

The tractor is about 1972. See numbers below.
Tractor Number: C259674
Model: E2024C
Unit: 0A08B
Engine: 9J18A (could be 9JJ8A)
Transmission: 9K14B
Block casting: C7NN 6015 V

Those engines were parent bore so sleeving is standard procedure during a reman.
We don't know where you are located so can't recommend a shop to do it for you but most areas still have a machine shop that can do the work.
I would ask at a couple of your closest tractor/implement dealers for the name of a shop in your area.
If you can pull the engine yourself it will save you some $.
