I'm not mechanically inclined, so pardon improper jargon and technical term misuse.
I've owned this 1998 model for about 10 years without any problems. Last week, I was mowing with a PTO cutter and, after a bit, noticed the power steering was jerky. When I checked the fluid, it was low and I noticed a steady stream leak when I turned the steering wheel. My neighbor and machinist told me the flange fitting had split and he made me part of a new line and installed it. I went happily on my way across his field, put on the PTO mower and started mowing again. About an acre later, I had the same problem and noticed the fluid leaked when I turned the steering wheel...so we went back across the field to my neighbor and now perplexed machinist. Query: Could I have a block further down the line that causes excess pressure on this fitting when I turn the wheel?
