I just noticed a setting that the dial-up'ers might like. It is under your personal settings (user cp) at the top of the page.

Show image attachments and code in Posts?
Selecting no will show a hyperlink instead.[/B]

This should make opening threads with embedded pictures quicker. Then it is up to you if you want to see the picture or not. Haven't tried it and probably won't use it since I'm a cable-modem'er, but thought you might be interested if you missed the setting.

It doesn't seem to work for me, I sure wish it did. No cable or DSL here. I must be doing something wrong.....

Pete -> Is it not working for you flat out or is it possible that you are viewing pictures that you had already looked at before and they are already cached locally.

Is this a link below or a picture? If link, then it is working.

Guess I just caused a problem for Andy... SORRY. Sounded like a good setting to me. Maybe there is a quick fix (other than removing it LOL).

Sorry about my slow reply. I'm still seeing the pictures and not a link. I tried dumping the cache with no luck. Same with other pictures on the site too. Thanks for trying to help anyway.........
